Ok. It kind of makes sense to do all the basing at the same time... but this is just intimidating.
It took 4 hours to do these with a mix of paint, ground cork and sand.
Next up, airbrush to add interest to the texture and for dust/mud....
Doug, this is really too many figures to base in one tranche. I can see why you hate basing! Lovely work, though.
Basing is a job I find a chore so feel your pain, you are doing a cracking job though.
Worth all the tedious work... a lot to do at once. I usually do it one unit at a time as they are finished
As Jonathan said. I paint and base no more than one unit at a time. This is rarely more than 30. Even with basic scenics that can be tiresome
Its never a nice job, but best to get it all over in one horrible fell swoop!
